THEORIES OF ASIAN ARCHITECTURE (ARC60704)

This module allows students to explore architectural development in Asia to understand how history, culture and society affect architectural design and building construction technology.

Project 1: Contextual Study Sketch Journal of a Traditional Street

We were tasked to visit a traditional street in Malaysia and conduct a site visit, obtaining all the necessary information to make a sketch journal. I decided to visit Jalan Tun H.S. Lee, as it is a street rich in heritage.

Project 2: Poster and Seminar- Contemporary Issues in Asian Architecture

In groups of 9, we were tasked to create an achitectural analysis in the form of a poster and a video identifying contemporary issues and proposing solutions in Taman Tun H.S. Lee.
