BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS (BLD61604)

This module encapsulates communication of architectural design by using visualization through architectural drawings. 

Project 1: Structural & Architectural Building Material Applications

In a group of 7, we were tasked to conduct a comprehensive study on a captivating building situated in Kuala Lumpur or Selangor. Our findings had to include 5 architectural building materials and 2 structural building materials. 

 

We chose the PJKita Community Centre.

Project 2: Construction Details

In groups of 2, we were tasked to source a house and draw out orthographic drawings, build a cake slice model showing construction details and familiarise ourselves with timber and reinforced concrete construction.
